Here is the complete list of the most beautiful beaches in Lake Garda, along Brescia’s coast!
Bathing in Lake Garda, from Sirmione to Desenzano
Capitals of Lake Garda nightlife, Sirmione and Desenzano are very popular destinations all year round. This extraordinary success culminates with the summer months, when the two towns are literally flooded with tourists and locals in search of relaxing spots where they can put their beach umbrella and towel.
Our tour starts in Sirmione, “the pearl of Lake Garda”, beloved by poet Catullus. One of the most important Italian archaeological areas, Grottoes of Catullus, are named after him. By the grottoes you will find Jamaica Beach, the queen of Sirmione’s beaches, a true natural oasis with Caribbean-clear waters. This is a pet-friendly beach and can only be reached on foot through a beautiful path surrounded by olive groves, which departs from the grottoes and reaches the lake. Services available: bar, lavatories, beach chair rental.
There’s more! Here are all the other beaches in Sirmione:
- Lido di Lugana
- Spiaggia Brema
- Lido Galeazzi
- Lido delle Bionde
- Spiaggia delle Muse
- Punta Grò
- Punta Staffalo
- Lido parrocchiale
Just a few km away is Desenzano, where other must-see beaches await you.
With free access just steps from the city center, Desenzanino is one of the most popular beaches. Lined with a pebbled shore, it offers umbrellas and sunbed rentals, restrooms, a restaurant, and a small bar open during the sunny season.
Another favorite destination is the Spiaggia d’Oro, a pebble beach with a grassy area just behind it. Facilities are available near the bar, while the side area remains free to all. Among Desenzano’s other beaches there’s also the Spiaggia Lega Navale and the port of Rivoltella.
Lonato is another southern Lake Garda town with plenty of relaxing beaches to escape the summer heat. Coco Beach is a famous night venue overlooking the lake and Lido di Lonato is a splendid pristine area.
Padenghe, Moniga, and Manerba del Garda beaches
Continuing along the western coast of Lake Garda, we stop in Padenghe. Padenghe beach is very well known. In the summer, this romantic place becomes a sunny, lively spot. With its pebbled beach, this area provides everything you need for a carefree day: sunbeds, pedal boats and SUPs for rent, a bar, and free restrooms with showers.
Padenghe and Moniga are connected through a lovely lake front walk which takes us to Porto beach in Moniga del Garda, equipped with bar, pizzerias, restaurants, lavatories, and showers. Please note that pets are not allowed. Liner, Preara, and San Michele are other beaches in Moniga.
Manerba del Garda also offers several opportunities to bathe. Do not forget to stop at “Romantica”, the largest beach in the area, with a spectacular view of Rocca di Manerba castle towering over it.
Equipped with all the services, this beach each summer welcomes thousands of families in search of shaded areas on the beach; it’s also very popular among guests of the many campsites present along this portion of the lake. Rocca beach is on the other side of the Castle, towards Moniga.
Here are all the beaches in Manerba del Garda:
- Pisenze
- Dusano
- Romantica – Torchio
- San Sivino – Scasöla
- Zocco
Diving into the lake in San Felice del Benaco and Salò
When you’re dreaming of a swim in Lake Garda at San Felice del Benaco, we immediately think of the ultimate beach: Baia del Vento. Far from the traffic and surrounded by the peaceful olive groves, this beach is one of the jewels of a Garda summer. It offers plenty of (paid) parking, a restaurant, a kiosk, umbrella and sunbed rentals, pedal boats with assisted pedaling, SUPs, kayaks, public bathrooms, (paid) hot showers, free cold showers and a playground.
Other beaches in San Felice include Gardiola, Porto San Felice (with a bar and restaurant, SUP and private kayak rentals, public bathrooms, cold showers), and Porto Portese (public bathrooms, cold showers, two restaurants, bike rentals, and prive SUP rentals).
Those passing by Salò can choose among three beaches: Barbarano, Il Mulino, and Rimbalzello. In particular, the beach in Barbarano located in via Rive Grandi just after the town centre and near Gardone Riviera is free and very popular among scuba divers and sports enthusiasts.
Sun and relaxation in Gardone Riviera, Toscolano Maderno, and Gargnano
Casinò and Lido di Fasano are the must-see beaches in Gardone Riviera to discover another side of this lovely town. It’s a unique opportunity to relax in the water in the shade of Vittoriale degli Italiani, sip an aperitif at trendy bars, and challenge your friends to a beach volley game in Fasano.
Toscolano Maderno also boasts some beautiful beaches: Spiaggia Degli Ulivi, Lido Azzurro, and Riva Granda. If you have a furry friend, Riva Granda is where you want to be.
The last town in this stretch of the coast is Gargnano, “the citrus town”. One of its best beaches is Corno, with incredibly clear water and beautiful view of Mount Baldo. Particularly recommended in the morning, it is equipped with a food stand.
Here are all the beaches in Gargnano:
- Castello
- Corno
- Le Fontanelle
- Lido dei Limoni
- Scogliera
- Rio Guandalini
- La Gial
Tignale, Tremosine, and Limone sul Garda beaches
Continuing towards upper Lake Garda, along the coastal road in the municipality of Tignale is famous Pra Dela Fam, a splendid beach in a charming bay nestled between clear waters and imposing cliffs. The beach owes its name to nearby Pra dela Fam lemon garden, a true gem which epitomises the centuries old history of Lake Garda lemon production. The garden is open to the public or individual visits and also offers guided tours. Opposite the beach there is a bar and lavatories.
As we approach Tremosine sul Garda, we find Campione beach in the portion of the municipality overlooking the lake. A pebble and grass beach, it is equipped with bar, restaurant, lavatories, and showers. This is a fun beach, especially for water sports lovers, thanks to the sailing, surfing, and kitesurfing school and rental service present here.

The tour ends among the beautiful beaches of Limone del Garda. Foce Torrente San Giovanni is the first choice for hundreds of tourists visiting Lake Garda thanks to its large size, gentle slope, and excellent services (bar, lavatories, beach chair rental, picnic area). It is also a pleasant place to stop for those who visit the old centre of Limone and want to take a break and admire this surprising landscape.
Here are all the beaches in Limone sul Garda:

- Grostol
