A much-loved destination for a walk with your family and your four-legged friends, La Santissima di Gussago is an evocative place where quietness and magnificent views meet offering a relaxing experience surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Gussago, Santissima Park

Placed on Mount Barbisone overlooking the town of Gussago, a stone’s throw from the city of Brescia, the monumental complex is built on a splendid panoramic terrace with wonderful views over Franciacorta as far as the Apennines and, on the mountain side, over Monte Guglielmo and Monte Rosa!

La Santissima of Gussago: a bit of history

An ancient place of religious devotion, in the 19th century La Santissima established itself as an important cultural center hosting artists, architects, and painters of the caliber of Rodolfo Vantini, Luigi Basiletti, Gian Battista Gigola – one of its owner – and finally Angelo Inganni, who resided there until his death.

Transferred by bequest in his will to the Richiedei Hospital and Rest Home, in 2010 it was purchased by the Municipality of Gussago, and became the symbol of that community. The establishment of the La Santissima Park dates back to 2006: rest and scenic areas ideal for admiring the complex and enjoying the charm of Franciacorta.
