Brescia and its shopping streets: shops and boutiques in the sign of excellence

Over 1,200 shops and hundreds of bars and restaurants, museums and cinemas await you in Brescia. Preserving its great tradition, the city offers commercial and entertainment opportunities and can satisfy any requests the most demanding customers may have. The city center is actually a privileged place where big brands and small shops blend together in a clever mix of experience, care, and emotion.

The shopping experience in shops and boutiques in Brescia has its main hub in the historic center.

Among the favorite streets for shopping, starting from Piazzale Arnaldo – served by the convenient parking lot of the same name – Corso Magenta is one of the main avenues in the city: ancient buildings and gardens surround a wide range of boutiques, bookshops and shoe shops.

Continuing straight on, we arrive in Corso Zanardelli , which is entirely porticoed on one side. Elegant shopping temptations stand out against the backdrop of the magnificent Teatro Grande.

Corso Zanardelli naturally converges with Corso Palestro, where you can admire sixteenth-century houses from whose facades frescoes by famous artists such as Gerolamo Romanino and Lattanzio Gambara stand out. With its stone walkway and the refined windows of the boutiques, Corso Palestro deserves the title of “living room” – all the more so thanks to the distinctive bars where you can enjoy a tasty happy hour!

At the intersection of Corso Palestro we find Via Gramsci, where designer labels alternate with ready-to-wear shops, and further on Corso Martiri della Libertà, also full of shops selling household goods, clothes, shoes and antiques.

Back to the central area with the three main squares (Piazza Loggia, Piazza Vittoria and Piazza Paolo VI), other unmissable streets for shopping in Brescia are Via X Giornate with its elegant porticos and renowned jewelery shops, bookshops, fashion shops, perfumeries; Via San Martino della Battaglia, another street full of boutiques that continues into Via Mazzini; and a short distance away Corso Cavour, where workshops, ethnic and design shops pave the way for Piazzetta S. Alessandro, a delightful and protected corner for a tasty stop.

Shopping lovers may also enjoy Corsetto Sant’Agata, Via Trieste and Via Carlo Cattaneo, where historical shops coexist with young businesses that stand out for their refined proposals: it is all yours to discover!
